How the TeachUp framework is linked to the GRETA model

One of the key aims of TeachUp is to create a practical and flexible training structure for adult educators. To do this, the project is building on the GRETA 2.0 competence model . GRETA 2.0 is a recognised model that describes the competences adult educators need. It looks not only at teaching skills, but also at subject knowledge, professional values, and self-management. This makes it a strong starting point for developing learning offers that are both relevant and professionally grounded. In TeachUp, the GRETA model is not copied directly into a course structure. Instead, it is used as the foundation for a more practical framework. Selected competence facets from GRETA have been translated into TeachUp topics , and these topics are then organised into three progressive modules : Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. This means that the TeachUp framework turns a broad competence model into a learning structure that is easier to use in practice. It helps training providers see how competence can be developed step by step, and how learning content can be organised in a more flexible and modular way. Another important point is that some topics appear in more than one module. This is because professional competence develops over time.
